Since it will be your first blog ever and you have no prior experience, starting with a niche site is the best way to go.

What Are Niche Websites?

Niche Website Definition: A Website that Focuses on Specific Information that is Both Useful and Interesting for the Audience.

Features:

• Specific Subject
• Specific Content
• Less than 200 pages but more than 20

For example, if you blog on skate boarding and stuufs related to it. then you are niche blogging/you have a niche blog on skate boarding.
But if you blog on different topics/wide range of topics like fitness/health, beauty,  relationship etc. then it wont be a niche blogging anymore.

It is a good idea to go with niche blogging since it take less time and money to eastablish your blog and make money from it.

So i will show you how to start affiliate marketing with a niche blog.

Before moving forward, let have a look at probable site structure of our niche blog.

Our home/main keywords should include any of these terms below-

• best/ affordable/reviews/cheap etc

for example : best skate boards/ best skate board reviews/ skate board review / affordable skate boards

We will write an article on our main keyword/s which will be front page(Home) of our blog (statc front page)

Then we will have different menus/categorries for some informational/how to articles and product review articles on our blog.

How you will earn money with it

You will write blog posts on different topics related to your niche. and write reviews on various products that fall under your niche, for example for skate boarding niche you can write editorial reviews ( Your opinion about a product after researching on it and the reviews from its customers). Then you will add referall link of the product in your blog post/review article. When a sale occur you get commision on the product price. On amazon affiliate program you get 6% commision on average.

How to find low competitive profitable niche?

Well, its a bit lengthy yet fun process. You can browse through amazon/ebay/TheSweetHome.com/toptenreviews.com (sub categories) etc websites and check different types of categories there. And you can check the categories/topic name with google keyword planner to see if there are available blog topic ideas/search keywords to write articles on.

Since we will be targeting organic visitors the topics should have decent amount of search volumes on keyword planner. for main keyword the volume could be 3000+ searches per month. for product reviews keywords (for example: vidal sasson hair dryer reviews) it could be more then 150+/month.

What to consider while choosing niche topics on amazon?

  Price

  Make sure that the product type you are choosing have enough products with handsome figure of price. For example. $70/$100/$150 etc.
  
  
  The higher the price the higher is your commision. But note that high range products ($400/$600) get less sale compared to that of mid range price ($120/$100 etc) products. The range varies from product type to type.
  
  You can filter the listing on the page by using price range option in the left sidebar.

  Reviews

  Make sure that the niche category has lots of products with lots of reviews with 4 Star + ratings.

• The products are not seasonal
  If the products are seasonal then your income will be seasonal too. So choose ever green product/niche topic.

Now, List as many as multipls niche topic ideas/product types like pressure cookers, camera lenses, juicer machines etc.

Our next task is to do competition analysis of the topics/keywords to check if we can rank for the keywords of the niche/topic. If any of the topics seem to be high /mid competitive we will remove it from our list. And those in low competitive side will be compared to check wich one is most profitable.
finally we will choose the topic and start writing articles on that niche.

Note: choosing niche is a lengthy process, it may take you 2 days if you are lucky or even 2 weeks to find a low competitive profitable niche idea. after this process there will be no lengthy one anymore.
